ROY HAYNES: "My Heart Belongs To Daddy"... In deed!
I heard Roy Haynes at the Tri-C JazzFest in Cleveland with Jaleel Shaw on saxophones, and David Kakowski on piano. Awesome show!
I met Mr. Haynes after the concert. A little man, and powerful! Roy had on a snake skin shoes, with a fly pair of pants and I really dug his swagger!
At 84 years old, Roy Haynes is swingin'. Let's me know, that at my age, I still have a chance.
