About Me:
I am first and foremost a classical pianist playing also several other instruments.

Music is my passion, a hard taskmaster, a tyrant, a lover and a way of life for me.

I constantly and endlessly write music, whether it be instrumental or otherwise.

Songs introduce themselves to me, complete with lyrics and won't leave me alone until I release them from my head and my heart and on to manuscript where I begin the process of presenting them to the world.

Lyrics are my second love in life and are never a problem, as they arrive in my head together with the songs.

I write all genres, but love the blues!

Musical Background & Experience:
Began playing the piano at aged 4 and trained at the Royal Academy of Music in London.

Adore to play Chopin - but only for private renditions these days!

Apart from this, I was raised on a diet of jazz/blues/ragtime/raggae, rock and love to sing the blues the way I sing the blues.

Have never stopped playing nor writing, but it is only in the last two months that I took the immense step - for me! - of putting a few of my compositions out into the world and the good news for me is that the world at large seems to like what I do!

My song 'Can't Leave You Alone' which I put on the website Reverbnation only 1 month ago has amazed me by hitting number 8 in the blues chart there.

I have a catalogue of unpublished songs of around 100 of several different genres and am currently working frenetically to get a number of them pro mastered so as to release my first album.

Why I love jazz:
Jazz is the epitome of musicianship in its many and varied forms.
Music:
Far too varied to list.......
I adore all types of music and try to listen with an open mind/ear to new forms or something at least new to me.
From opera to Corsican polyphonics, from ska to orchestral, from rock to reggae.
Top 5 Desert Island Discs:
Vladimir Ashkenazy Chopin's Piano Concerto no 2
Yehudi Menuhin Bruch's Violin Concerto
Anything by Miles Davis
Zzebra - mainly because my brother is in there!
One of Sonny Rollins' albums.
Books:
Again too many to list here.
Television:
What?
Movies:
Errrrr....

And here you have the only four tracks that I have so far shown to the world......the first track
'Can't Leave You Alone' exceeded all possible expectations by charting in the top ten of the Reverbnation blues chart within 2 weeks of being aired and continues to expand its
presence on live radio and internet radio around the world. To say that this took me by surprise would be an immense understatement..................

Merry Christmas to you, too! My kids are very musical - sons play the guitar and daughter plays the guitar and piano. However, it apparently skipped a generation....that's why my talent lies with playing CDs! Send them on!
