About Me:: I'm from Boston. Started working professionally in 1977. I moved to NYC in the mid 80's. I have worked with Savion Glover, Carly Simon, Ben E. King, Jon Lucien, Ruth Brown, Astrud Gilberto, Steve Coleman, Bobby Watson, Suzzanne Douglas, Ute Lemper, Andy Narell, and Nat Adderley Jr., among many other great musicians and singers

Musical Background & Experience:: Studied piano and voice from age 7. Began playing electric bass in high school, double bass at New England Conservatory with Miroslav Vitous. Studies with Charlie Banacos, Steve Swallow, James Williams, Richard Fredrickson, and Harvey Diamond.

Why I love jazz:: My earliest memories are of Miles Davis and Nancy Wilson-like the warmth of the womb! Improvising always seemed to be the path!

Music:: All good music of every genre in the world:jazz, pop, country, pygmy. Favorite composers: Charles Ives, Oliver Messian, Duke Ellington, Scott Joplin, Scott Bradley, Michel LeGrand, Burt Bacharach, Pat Metheny, Wayne Shorter, Bill Lee, Terrance Blanchard, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Onaje Allan Gumbs, Nat Adderley Jr., Marcus Miller, just to name a few.

Top 5 Desert Island Discs:: Miles Davis "My Funny Valentine", Nancy Wilson/Cannonball Adderley, MeShell NdegeOcello "Plantation Lullabies", Messian "Quartet for The End Of Time" Tashi, Michael Jackson "Off The Wall".
