- Studied with Rodney Whitaker for my undergrad in jazz studies at MSU. Nathan has also played Numerous free-lance gigs and studio recording sessions in the Champaign/Urbana IL, Chicago IL, Lansing MI, and Detroit MI areas with jazz artists such as Jake Hertzog, Tony Zamora, Maurice Mckinley, Dianne Reeves, Jon Faddis, Terell Stafford, Cecil and Ron Bridgewater, Frank Morgan, Wessell “Warm Daddy” Anderson, Geoff Keezer, Randy Gillespie Jr., Derrick Gardner, Greg Hutchinson, Yutaka Shina, Rick Roe, Diego Rivera, Shahida Nurullah, and Sunny Wilkinson among others.
