thanks for your reply Lauren. I will consider having you as one of our guest clinicians in the future. We have had Denis Diblasio up here twice and he was a great hit with the students. I am having drummer Vince Cherico and trumpet artist Greg Hopkins up for our Summer 2009 Jazz Camps at UAA. The Summer 2010 season is still open.

Take care,

John Damberg

Thought I'd let your know. My son auditioned for the South Carolina region Band and made first chair , he now gets to audition for the SC All-State Band.
I told him about your site and albums and he was excited to here of a bari player that was also a solo artist.

Also where can I get any of your recordings to share with my son since there are so few bari players that I know of?

My son has switched to Bari Sax can you give me some info on some good method books for him. He will be in the 9th grade next year and is a really good player. I would like for him to succeed as a player. I am a band director (and will be his director next year) but I am a trumpet player by trade. Any help you can give me would be great. thanks

Great playing Lauren. I would like to add you to my friends at Jazz player.com
I really enjoy you playing. Question. Did you play as one of the clinicians at the 2008 Next Generation Jazz Festival in Monterey? I think I might have heard you there. I run the Alaska Jazz workshop in Anchorage, Ak and I brought one of my student groups down to perform at the festival. Check out our website at www.akjazzworkshop.org.

Thanks,

John Damberg: President
Alaska Jazz Workshop
