Hi Maureen, Sorry for getting back so late. The summer gigs are keeping me busy and I barely can make it to the computer. I was told to get a blackberry, I believe that can wait maybe in October. Thank you for your wonderful comment. What is a CD…

We met through cousin Clark Monroe. I grew up listening to her music. She knew I love to sing and always encourage me to sing. Nina Simone was a dear friend as well. She gave me her blessing and the greatest validation came from Jimmy Scott he encourage me to hang in there he knew that I was ready for the major league in the jazz world. Hi Kym, I am also thinking about getting a blackberry as it would either complicate my life or make it easier - not sure which.

Went to the Montreal Jazz Festival and it was great.

The CD Showase is a new feature we have in our JAZZed Magazine where you have a space which is approximately 2.2" wide and 4.4" long where you can advertise your CD. It is a great opportunity to get the word out and is only $195.00. If you want more info on this you can call me at 800 964-5150 ext 34 or my email address is mjohan@symphonypublishing.com.

Thanks for your note,
Maureen

Hi Kym,

Thanks for the friend invitation. Just listened to a couple of your songs - wow.
You are good - very good. If I didn't have to work I would have listened to everything you posted.

Keep in touch and if you ever want to do the CD Showcase, let me know.

Keep singing,
Maureen

Hi, I am a beginner at jazz and so far am in the learning process. I go way back to seeing Dave Brubeck and loving him. I asked two musicians in the office the difference between jazz and the blues and they laughed and said "Do you have 4 hours?". I know what I like when I hear it but often don't know the artist. As I said I am learning and in doing so have realized how versified jazz is and how I like different styles. Want to learn and know more so when I listen I can appreciate it more.
