First Name
Dave

TCU
I am here for:
Gigs, Job Inquiries, Educational Purposes, Meet Players, Networking
Whom I want to meet:
Good folks with a love of jazz.
Employment Status
Employed
Occupation:
Guitarist
About Me:
I have been playing guitar since 1971. I love all the classic jazz guitarists. I have particular affection for the lyrical styles of players like Django Reinhardt, Jim Hall and Wes Montgomery.
Musical Background & Experience:
I am a Ft Worth area jazz and multi-style guitarist. I have worked extensively in the North Texas area with many travels across the USA. I am honored to have been chosen to perform two solo jazz guitar concerts for the Grand Opening Week of the Dallas Center For the Performing Arts (Winspear Opera House). For the sake of these featured recordings I'm playing my Dupont MD-50E, which is a very fine recreation of the circa 1936 "Selmer Modele Jazz" guitar as played by Django Reinhardt and legions of gypsy guitarists since. I've been a huge Django fan since I was a teenager and I've attempted to channel that spirit through these humble recordings. Thanks for listening.

It may be time to get a 'recital' together and book a room that will hold 50-70 folks. Promote like crazy and learn to sell. Comp tickets to event planners and restaurant owners, pack in every student we ever had. Stand on a corner near Sundance Square playing and promoting. Create the buzz!

Or not.

Dave, you are a great guitarist and always inspire me to keep challenging myself on my instrument. You listen to music with a very critical ear and that is awesome. I love the fact that you continue to search for new and interesting things to perfect and master on the guitar. You always have something interesting to show me. You are a great friend and one of me bestest buds.

Why discs on a desert isle? An mp3 player would hold more stuff and the batteries would last longer ...
