- Dario Chiazzolino was born in Turin in February 1985.
From the very beginning, he built inspiration from diverse musical experiences to include jazz, latin, rock.
It was however pianists such as Bill Evans, Michel Petrucciani, Errol Garner, Herbie Hancock who had the most influence and supply Dario Chiazzolino with plenty of musical hints.
Since he was 12, he started playing live in progressive, jazz, rock, fusion, latin, groups and exhibited in a range of different environments (theatres, outdoor spaces, clubs, auditoriums). At the same time he joined bands such as Free spirit, Black soul, Karma, No time, Zero, Line out, City band, Assoluto. With them he toured the lenght of Italy on a busy concert schedule.
He exploited this specific opportunity also to attend a few seminars with John Scofield, Scott Henderson, John Patitucci, Gary Burton. He also played in Jazz Festival in different parts of the Peninsula.
In 2005 he attended an advanced musical master, at the "University of Music" in Rome.
In the summer of 2006, he participated to "Umbria Jazz Festival" where he was awared the prize as Best guitarist and joined Berklee/Umbria Jazz Clinics 2006 Award Group. With this band he plays at "Umbria Jazz Winter" in Orvieto and Bologna.
He attends experimental jazz course in Turin Conservatory G. Verdi and now he is working as guitar educator in Music School "EMERGENZA MUSICA" in Cascine Vica and in the National School ACCADEMIA MUSICA MODERNA (AMM) in Turin.
