Hi Jimmy,

I wanted to share this 10 minute instructional video below for working with my new book, "Hip Licks for Saxophone." I hope that everyone enjoys the licks and the video.

Serious about developing your improvising? Well, you can't speak creatively in a language that you are not articulate in. I've got a really comprehensive method that I've put together after teaching jazz for 34 years. Please check it out. Denis DiBlasio and many others have endorsed it, and jazz education programs are using it in 14 states.www.lineartransitions.com       Thanks

Check out the song I just posted on the main page of jazzplayer.com. It's called Con Brio and features my band Forecast. I'm playing soprano and Max Zape, another member of jazzplayer.com, is the piano player.

On Friday November 5, 2010, I will have the pleasure of participating on the Oprah Winfrey Show with Oprah Winfrey, Tyler Perry and 200 men from all over the US and Canada, each of us a survivor of childhood sexual abuse. I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Oprah, Tyler and the Harpo Studio staff. It was a very powerful show so be sure to watch. Please check your local listings for stations and times. I am on the first row in the black shirt on the right.
