The 3rd annual Spenard Jazz Fest 2010 based in Anchorage, AK runs from June 11-13, 2010. It features original music by more than 20 of Alaska's creative composers, including John Damberg (2010 Rasmuson Foundation Artist Fellowship award winner), Yngvil Vatn Guttu (Norweigen expat jazz trumpet artist and SJF organizer), Rick Zelinsky (Anchorage saxophone wizard), Daryl Hollingsworth, Mark Teckinbrock & the Elite 9 (Seward, AK's creative gurus), Anthony Reed (Anchorage's new upcoming trombone sensation), Kevin Barnett (Eagle River, AK pianist extra-ordinaire), Rama Ishaya Trio (jazz piano trio with a new twist), Sandy Kleven (AK Word Jazz Poet), Buzz Schwall (AK Jazz puppeteer), Dan McElrath & his quartet, Tom Lambert & Midnight Starlight.

Expanding on past years' successes, Jazzfest 2010 will branch out in to other art forms including: poetry, movement improvisatioin, and visual arts. Happily based out of the Organic Oasis Restaurant for the 3rd year in a row (2610 Spenard Rd), the festival will also add two more new venues this year including the Grand Opening of the Tap Root Cafe located at 3300 Spenard Rd., and the Anchorage Peratrovic Park stage at the corner of 4th and E Street in downtown Anchorage.
